Faith Talks: Protecting Children
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven,” then he laid his hands on them and blessed them. The Scriptures are clear on how God esteems children, yet still many nations, including our own, too often fail to protect, nurture, prepare and train them. Yes, many children are doing OK individually but collectively, more work is necessary.
Please join host Jennifer R. Farmer on October 6, at 2:00 p.m. ET for a discussion on the necessity of protecting children. She will be interviewing several phenomenal child advocates.
Guests are:
DR. STACEY PATTON is an author, journalist, and professor at Morgan State University
ELLEN REDDY is the Executive Director of the Nollie Jenkins Family Center
CHARITY RYERSON is the Executive Director and Founder of Corporate Accountability Lab
REID MAKI is the Director of Child Labor Advocacy at the National Consumers League.
Faith Talks are monthly conversations with United Women in Faith hosted by Jennifer R. Farmer, Spotlight PR. Each conversation explores themes and resources that empower us to put faith, hope and love into action.
