Pentecost Witness for Justice and a Moral Budget
Join clergy and lay leaders from across the country for a powerful public witness at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, June 10 — just after Pentecost Sunday.
Together, we will march, pray, and speak out in defense of the poor and the vulnerable as the Senate prepares to vote on deep cuts to healthcare and nutrition programs.
United Women in Faith is cosponsoring Pentecost Witness for Justice and a Moral Budget on Tuesday, June 10 at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. It will include a public vigil, followed by a procession and optional meetings with senators urging them to protect people who are vulnerable.
We hope to have a large United Women in Faith and friends’ presence on June 10. Please bring members and friends and join us in person, bringing signs and wearing United Women in Faith-related items or shirts.
Legislative visits with senators are being organized and volunteers are needed to serve as vigil peacekeepers/marshals are needed.
