Take Action During Estate Planning Awareness Month
Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. It’s a critical component of financial wellness for anyone who wants to ensure their wishes are carried out and their loved ones are protected. A comprehensive estate plan helps you:
- Designate beneficiaries and heirs
- Provide for loved ones
- Make important financial decisions
- Communicate healthcare wishes
- Support charitable causes and faith-based organizations
- Gain peace of mind
Think of October as your call to action for your own estate planning.
Take Action
Schedule an Interactive Estate Planning Workshop either in-person or virtually for your unit, district, or conference. Contact ccampos@uwfaith.org for more information.
If you do not have a plan: Consult with an estate planning attorney or financial advisor to begin the process and create essential documents. United Women in Faith can provide a checklist of what you will need to gather before you go to visit these professionals.
If you already have a plan: Review and update your existing plan to ensure it still reflects your current intentions, as major life events can impact your estate.
