Take Action During Estate Planning Awareness Month

Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. It’s a critical component of financial wellness for anyone who wants to ensure their wishes are carried out and their loved ones are protected. A comprehensive estate plan helps you:

  • Designate beneficiaries and heirs
  • Provide for loved ones
  • Make important financial decisions
  • Communicate healthcare wishes
  • Support charitable causes and faith-based organizations
  • Gain peace of mind

Think of October as your call to action for your own estate planning.

Take Action

Schedule an Interactive Estate Planning Workshop either in-person or virtually for your unit, district, or conference. Contact ccampos@uwfaith.org for more information.

If you do not have a plan: Consult with an estate planning attorney or financial advisor to begin the process and create essential documents. United Women in Faith can provide a checklist of what you will need to gather before you go to visit these professionals.

If you already have a plan: Review and update your existing plan to ensure it still reflects your current intentions, as major life events can impact your estate.

Visit uwfgift.org for helpful financial and estate planning resources.
