Mission u Curricula

That’s why we create dynamic, justice-focused biblical curricula for adults, youth, and children. Our curricula empower individuals and communities to explore God’s word through the lens of compassion, equity, and collective transformation.

Each curriculum is developed by diverse and collaborative writing teams who bring lived experience, theological depth, and a commitment to justice. Through meaningful stories, scriptural reflection, and a call to action, Mission u encourages learners to engage social issues with courage, grounded in their identity as Christians.

Why Mission u: Learning Together for the Transformation of the World

  • Flexible and Accessible
Designed for eight one-hour sessions, each curriculum can be used in Sunday school, youth group, VBS, small groups, camps, campus ministries, or other Christian education settings. Adult curricula also available in Spanish and Korean.
  • Justice-Focused and Biblically Rooted
Every session connects scripture with real-world issues and equips learners to respond with faith, love, and integrity.
  • Intergenerational Curriculum
Each theme includes curriculum for children, youth, and adults, creating opportunities for the whole community to learn and grow together.
  • Leader-Ready Digital Format
All resources are delivered digitally and include introductory videos, reflection questions, and supplemental tools to support confident facilitation

Mission u curricula are not only about learning. They are about inspiring us to put our faith in action!

Practicing Hope Together

  • Practicing Hope: Adult Facilitators Edition by Tabatha Holley
Practicing Hope is a biblical curriculum that explores hope, particularly when hope seems hard to find. Participants will find ways to cultivate hope in community that is honest about our current conditions (refugia), restorative when everything feels urgent (rest), and possible even when we transgress (repair).
  • Communities of the Spirit: Youth Facilitators Edition by Regina Heater
Communities of the Spirit is a youth curriculum examining the hope we find in early post-resurrection Christian communities and how they kept hope alive in the most difficult times. Youth will be asked to identify what they need in a community to help them continue to become the people God calls them to be.
  • Hope as a Resurrection People: Children’s Facilitators Edition by Joni Cisowski
Hope as a Resurrection People intends to help children build trust in Jesus to bring comfort and support as they find courageous hope in the face of uncertainty. Through each session, children will develop their understanding of hope by reflecting on important people, communities, places, activities, personal goals, and desires for the future.

The Kin-dom is Among You: Drawing Closer to God and One Another

  • Welcome Home: Adult Facilitators Edition by Neomi Fletcher
The adult curriculum uses the image of home to explore how living in close proximity to the kin-dom is like making a home with God. Participants are invited to develop practices for building healthy, welcoming communities as a result of being anchored in the abiding love of God.
  • Cultivating Symbiosis – The Nature of God’s Kin-dom: Youth Facilitators Edition by Nica Sy
In Creation, we see the power of symbiosis, or interdependent relationship. The youth curriculum explores the idea of symbiosis between our relationships with one another and our relationship with God. By drawing closer to one another and our world, we draw closer to the kin-dom.
  • Me in the Kin-dom! Children’s Facilitators Edition by Kathy Cook
The children’s curriculum uses the Lord’s Prayer as a lens to help us see that we are all members of the family of God. Children will begin to understand that the kin-dom is living with Christ and one another on earth as in heaven.
