Grace in Abundance
Day of Giving Is an Opportunity to Share

“And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”
—2 Corinthians 9:8
In a recent conversation with fellow Deaconess Clara Ester, we discussed grace, how blessed we are as God’s children, and how those blessings empower us. I was touched by her words on giving: “We have so much abundance, our health, the air we breathe, the fact that we get out of a warm bed every morning, these are all gifts. God has blessed us with grace and mercy to such an extent that our giving back is simply what we ought to do.”
As an 1869 Society member and longtime supporter of The Legacy Endowment Fund, Ester added, “We are all called to share our gifts of God’s abundance with others through our giving.”
God’s abundant grace has been with us since the inception of The Legacy Endowment Fund, and that grace continues to abound as we grow ever closer to reaching our $60 million goal.
At the time of this writing, we are less than $9 million away. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could celebrate reaching or at least coming very close to reaching our goal at the Legacy Banquet at Assembly in May? Our goal is within reach. Thank you for visualizing our future and knowing the importance of sustaining our work far beyond our own lifespans. Your continued support is a blessing!
On this year’s Day of Giving, March 23, God’s abundant grace will continue to multiply through your gifts to the permanently invested Legacy Endowment Fund.
Simply, the more we give, the more we can share God’s abundance with those in need. Please watch for me and others on Day of Giving, March 23, as we reach out with live Facebook feeds throughout the day while celebrating with our members throughout the country.
Day of Giving is our opportunity to gather together as one sisterhood in faith to thank God for the continued grace shown to United Women in Faith, by giving to ensure the future of our vital mission work to improve the lives of women, children, and youth at home and abroad.
