WASHINGTON – United Women in Faith General Secretary and CEO Sally Vonner will participate in a Faithful Witness event at the U.S. Capitol on April 16 at noon. Organized by Sojourners and 29 partners with the Washington Interfaith Staff Community, the weekly series began on March 5.

“I am participating in the upcoming Faithful Witness event to offer a moral witness and acknowledge my grave concern about the ways in which already marginalized communities are being further harmed,” Vonner said.

The Faithful Witness events are multi-faith vigils designed to urge Congress to exercise greater moral courage in upholding its Article 1 powers and stopping executive overreach. These nonpartisan vigils will speak truth to power, highlighting what’s at stake and the communities already harmed. They feature faith leaders from diverse traditions offering inspirational prayers and calls for faithful action.
