On Sunday, July 13, 2025, United Women in Faith was honored to be named Nonprofit of the Night at the New York Liberty vs. Atlanta Dream WNBA game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The event, part of our Move 4 Mission initiative, was an exciting celebration of sisterhood, community, and the power of faith-driven action.

A portion of every ticket sold went directly toward supporting the mission of United Women in Faith to advocate for justice, transform communities, and uplift women, children, and youth worldwide. The event also gave attendees from the New York, Greater New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania Conferences, along with national staff, a chance to unite through a shared purpose. Those unable to attend could support others by purchasing a ticket to allow a young person to attend in their place to support the mission and empower the next generation.

The evening featured a special on-court presentation, where attendees learned more about the impactful work of United Women in Faith. It was a time of reflection, joy, and connection, with opportunities to meet CEO Sally Vonner and explore ways to get involved.

New York Conference President Joann McClam shared, “I have never been a basketball fan, but I stepped outside my comfort zone for United Women in Faith and had so much fun. It was such a great time! We Moved 4 Mission!”

Greater New Jersey member Millie Grey recalled, I had so much fun. I was really pleased and proud to be a part of this event. I kept saying, that’s my organization. United Women in Faith Moves 4 Mission!”

The event was a beautiful reminder of the collective power of community and the difference we can make when we come together in faith and action. Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped us Move 4 Mission. Let’s continue to create lasting change — together.
