April 20, 2022: Earth Day Celebration and Lament
Join us for I Cry Aloud to God: A Service of Lament and Hope in the Face of the Climate Crisis as we celebrate Earth Day in a collaborative event with the Office of Spiritual Growth and the Office of Economic and Environmental Justice. Finding ourselves at the boundary between lament at the current climate crisis and hope at the resurrection of Christ, we will turn to Psalm 77 to reflect on what it means to steward and protect this Earth we are a part of.
It will be a time of biblical reflection, music, storytelling, and breakout conversations as we continue acting on our journey to seek Just Energy for All.
We invite you to bring a notepad, journal, sketchpad, or other materials to engage and reflect creatively during the session.
