Member Delegate: Shannon Priddy

Members of United Women in Faith put love into action every day to inspire, influence, and impact their churches and communities. Many of our members live out their faith by serving as leaders in The United Methodist Church.

Meet Shannon Priddy, another United Women in Faith member serving as General Conference delegate. Shannon is a past conference language coordinator and national president for United Women in Faith and currently on staff as the executive for Mission Giving and financial interpretation. Shannon is also the Lay Leader of the Indiana Conference, for which she also serves as trustee. She is a delegate to General Conference for Indiana.

How long have you been a member of United Women in Faith?

Twenty-five years.

What called you to be a General Conference delegate?

I feel I have a voice that needs to be heard and a perspective that is important to the future of the church.

How has being a part of United Women in Faith helped in your role as delegate?

United Women in Faith helps me see the bigger picture of a connectional church, a connectional organization. Because of United Women in Faith, I am a stronger leader.

What are your hopes for the church?

My hope for the United Methodist Church is to live abundantly and recognize every person’s gifts in the church.

Watch Shannon with ‘Ainise ‘Isama’u, our national presidents from the last two quadrennia, explain and celebrate our new name as United Women in Faith at Assembly 2022.
