Director of Development
The Director of Development holds a major fundraising position in UWFaith, responsible for developing the organization’s fund development strategy, overseeing the day-to-day development operations, and helping UWFaith achieve its fundraising goals through revenue-generation, relationship building, stewardship, strategic fundraising plan and implementation. They provide leadership, along with the General Secretary and other development staff, for achieving the Legacy Endowment Fund goal through major gifts and planned gifts from donors through estate planning and other types of gifts/donations and the on-going every member effort (Day of Giving, Legacy Builder, etc.). The Director of Development’s duties include gift solicitations, ensuring donor and prospect communications are updated regularly, identifying new opportunities for strategic partnerships and sponsorships, and answering inquiries. This position requires working as part of a team to diversify funding resources and engaging in long-term financial planning for the organization, including the creation and/or maintaining current endowments and other permanent financial resources taking account of the critical role of Mission Giving. The Director of Development supervises three Development Executives and a Development Operations Coordinator.

Director of Public Relations and Marketing (Position Lead)
The Position Lead is responsible for building and leading an integrated marketing communications strategy/team and actions to drive value perception and increase UWFaith’s visibility. This position also leverages UWFaith’s positioning in support of engagement and mobilization efforts. Thereby profoundly impacting the organization’s overall strategic success. The Position Lead is responsible for helping UWFaith to express and market its value internally to staff and member leaders and externally, to potential members and partners and leads the marketing strategies that promote the brand, programs, products & services to the world.
- Organization Priority:
- Position UWFaith as a leading women’s Christian organization within the wider faith community and in the world.
- Goal 1: Design implementation plan for PR/Marketing.
- Goal 2: Implement a consistent process for communicating the brand, value proposition and related experiences to existing members and partners.
- Goal 3: Market culture/brand/identity to increase visibility of UWFaith.
- Goal 4: Keep UWFaith cutting edge by engaging in ongoing critical analysis in advancing the direction of leadership of UWFaith relative to the internal and external metrics quarterly.
- Goal 5: Develop a systematic approach to gathering, analyzing and converting data into value additive intelligence and programs to support and advance internal and external metrics.
- Duties
- Learn and become fully proficient at using and managing UWFaith’s Soul Care selected registration platform, Stova (you will be trained).·Learn and become fully proficient at using and managing UWFaith’s Soul Care selected registration platform, Stova (you will be trained).
- Work directly with individual Soul Care Event Hosts to determine their registration needs and use this information to build out their registration platform on the Stova platform.
- Build and create event pages including tracking registrant participation, external links, resources as required in accordance with timeline to deliver the event site.
- Create online registration reports as needed.
- Follow up with individuals, by email and phone, who purchase the United Women in Faith Soul Care Retreat Manual and invite them to have their registration created through the UWFaith Soul Care Registration process.
- Report to Soul Care Program leads and Events Management experts.
- Send post-event surveys to event participants and provide data reports to the team.
- Requirements
- Must have very strong computer literacy and proven technical skills and have worked with a variety of different digital platforms (event specific platforms are a plus).
- Must have outstanding time management skills and know how to keep a project on track. Able to adhere to and organize multiple timelines and deadlines.
- Must enjoy, respect, and appreciate working in a women-centered, faith-based environment. Familiarity with our organization and its membership a plus.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good people skills and customer service skills required. The ability to work with different personalities.
- The ideal candidate is a tech savvy experienced professional. Previous experience in the events industry is a plus.
- Responsibilities
- Report to Assembly Director and Exhibit Hall Producer.
- UWFAITH will provide weekly financial reports to determine outstanding exhibitor and sponsorship payments.
- Create and manage Assembly 2026 complete Sponsorship Opportunities Package including booth rentals, special events, mobile apps, specified program elements, and other visibility opportunities approved by Assembly Director as approved by Senior Leaders.
- Continue work on Sponsorship vetting guidelines with UWFAITH staff.
- Make best attempt to meet goal of $150,000 for Assembly 2026 sponsorship and booth sales.
- Consultant will adhere to the standards and values of UWFAITH in the sale of sponsorship and exhibit booths.
- Create ideas for United Methodist Church targeted entities sponsorship opportunities.
- Create ideas for long term package opportunities and possible virtual hybrid Assembly event opportunities.
- Work with UWFAITH assigned staff members to vet applicants for sponsorship.
- Write and produce all Sponsorship Package marketing materials for website, working with Communications Producer and using former Assembly Sponsorship Materials as a starting place.
- Build out, run, and manage complete Sponsor/Exhibitor digital platform with contracted vendor including all purchasing and monies processing set ups. This will require learning to use the back end of our Registration/Speaker and Sponsor Management platform. (We currently use STOVA, formerly Aventri)
- Manage and implement any and all promised benefits to sponsors across any and all platforms, program pieces, digital spaces and/or any other benefit as promised.
- Work with UWFAITH finance department to follow through on monies processing.
- Work with Assembly General Services Contractor and Business Manager to manage and coordinate all deliverables for Sponsor/Exhibitors.
- Work with Exhibit Hall Producer, Decorator and AV company to manage all equipment orders and needs for Exhibitors/Sponsors, build out floor plans in advance.
- Work with Sponsors to best meet UWFaith’s Green Meeting Guidelines.
- On-Site
- Manage and coordinate needs for all sponsors, booth rentals, and anything related to sponsorship.
- Be pro-active in creating strong relationships and support for sponsors during event.
- Act as liaison between sponsors and Exhibit Hall Producer and Decorator or General Services Contractor.
- Come early and stay late to manage all sponsor and exhibitor needs for their load in and load out only.
- CONSULTANT is not responsible for opening/closing exhibit hall, exhibit hall announcements, exhibit hall management (i.e., programmatic areas, food operations, bookstore, etc.)
- Post-Event
- Work with Assembly Director and Business Manager post Assembly event to assess and manage billing around labor, hours, and equipment used by sponsors. No sponsor or exhibitor should bill anything to UWFAITH Master account which is monitored and approved by UWFAITH Business Manager.
- Provide a comprehensive meeting evaluation and summary to UWFAITH within 30 days of the last day of the meeting.
- Attend one debrief meeting to celebrate successes and offer ideas for improvement.
- Help coordinate collection of fees and billing to the finance office of UWFAITH.
- Sponsorship Management Qualifications:
- Have 5 – 7 yrs experience running sponsorship for large conference events.
- Show a proven track record for increasing income from sponsors from conference to conference.
- Have successful track record for connecting partner to increased sponsorship buys and/or donations at the event.
- Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT.
- Can quickly learn the back end to manage inside a new registration-sponsorship event platforms or system.
- Comfortable learning and interfacing with UWFaith’s internal Digital Community while proficient in using Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and all other social media platforms.
- Experience in working with faith-based events, particularly of mainline denominations, in the U.S.
- An understanding of The United Methodist Church and United Women in Faith’s principles and values that informs language, approach, and best interaction skills.
- Comfort with contacting and continuing relationships with previous vendors, mostly United Methodist Church associated Boards and Agencies
- Duties
- Work closely with the Executive for Racial Justice to expand the reach and deepen the impact of the digital advocacy actions that are part of United Women in Faith’s effort to end mass incarceration/criminalization of communities of color and interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline.
- This position will involve extensive outward-facing organizing, inviting members to participate in the campaign, and helping member leaders to recruit others to participate.

- Note: While this position involves working with digital advocacy tools for virtual member action (emails and phone calls to elected officials, etc.), this is not primarily a technical role. Training will be provided on the use of the advocacy software to the extent that it is required for this position. Strong applicants will be comfortable sending emails, making phone calls, and meeting via videoconferencing software (Teams and/or Zoom).
- Requirements
- Must have a demonstrated commitment to racial justice.
- Must have a demonstrated commitment to the well-being of women, children, and youth.
- Must be comfortable talking with faith-based women leaders about the content of the campaign, building strong working relationships, providing necessary information and assistance, troubleshooting challenges and, most importantly, inspiring action.
- Must bring good people skills, including the ability to work effectively across lines of difference.
- Must be goal-driven and willing to work towards numerical benchmarks.
- The ideal candidate brings some meaningful experience (personal, volunteer or professional) working to end mass incarceration, stop the criminalization of communities of color and/or interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline.

Soul Care Registration Consultant
Part-time Remote
United Women in Faith (UWFaith) is seeking a Soul Care Registration Consultant to work with our Event Management and Soul Care teams. Soul Care is a new, developing program of United Women in Faith, that seeks to offer content, experiences, and resources for caring for yourself in body, mind, and spirit. This role would support the Soul Care Retreats, which are events where women come together to experience rest, rejuvenation, and spiritual nourishment while building sisterhood.
For this role, we are seeking an energetic, personable, self-motivated, and self-directed person with strong technological skills to manage the registration form build-out for individual retreats. This position has a heavy logistical focus and requires strong computer literacy, independent thinking, and attention to detail.
Salary: $25/hour up to 10 hours/week
Hours: Varied as needed for the projects

Assembly
United Women in Faith Assembly is a quadrennial event offering inspiration, education, and celebration. The next Assembly will take place at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN, May 15 – 17, 2026. The goals for Assembly 2026 are to increase new women members, increase giving, and celebrate our members embracing our new brand and brand initiatives.

Digital Advocacy and Organizing Assistant (Office of Racial Justice)
Consultant/Contract Role, Part-time, Remote
United Women in Faith is seeking a Digital Advocacy and Organizing Assistant to work with our Office of Racial Justice. The primary responsibility of this role is expanding the reach and deepening the impact of digital advocacy actions within the campaign to end mass incarceration/criminalization of communities of color and interrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. For this position, we are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who is comfortable working with Christian women and is committed to furthering racial justice.
Compensation: $35/hour, contract/consultant role, no benefits
Schedule: 5-10 hours/week, flexibility in scheduling
Location: Remote [Note: If applicant lives in NYC Metro area, there is an option for occasional on-site work/in-person meetings, as well, but this is not a requirement of the role.]
