2026 Action Postcards
Take Action Today! Send Postcards to Advance Climate Justice and Protect Immigrants.
Send your postcards by June 30. Find more details and directions for printing and sending below.
Background
United Women in Faith members show up in many ways for the work of justice – living into the legacy of our foremothers and building a path forward for today and for our granddaughters. One way that we do this is by being reliable, unflinching advocates for women, children, and youth with elected officials serving at all levels of government. We have been at this work for longer than the longest-serving member of Congress. We have been here for more than 150 years, and we aren’t going away any time soon!
At Assembly, we took action on both of United Women in Faith’s priorities — climate justice and ending mass incarceration and the criminalization of communities of color — by mailing out two postcards. Now we invite you to join this action and send your own postcards.

Protect Immigrants – Stop ICE/CBP Violence – Send by June 30
We are urging Congress to protect immigrants, push back against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) violence, and stop criminalizing communities of color.

Climate Justice Now! – Send by June 30
We urge governors to advance state environmental protections for our families and work with local leaders to build climate adapted and strong rural communities.
You can use these postcards to put love into action at home or in your community, with your United Women in Faith group, or at an event. Please read the directions below to send these postcards.

Directions
- There are two postcards. We encourage you to send both by June 30.
- The Climate Justice postcard (PDF) goes to governors.
- The Protect Immigrants and Stop Criminalizing Communities of Color postcard (PDF) goes to your U.S. congressional representative and/or your U.S. senators. If you want to send the card to all three offices — the most effective option — please complete three separate postcards. If you want to send the postcard to just one person, please send it to whomever seems to need the most encouragement on this issue.
- Print postcards for yourself or for your group and mail them to the appropriate recipients. If printing your postcards yourself, follow the directions below for printing.
- Instead of printing a postcard, you can purchase a postcard that features the name of your city or town and write the postcard script that is on the back of the postcards on your card. Use the links below to find addresses for your senators and governor.
- If you are sending the postcards with your United Women in Faith unit, district, or conference, plan an event or time to gather to fill out the postcards.
- To print the postcards, you can use a color printer at home if you have one, or use FedEx, a UPS Store, Office Depot, Staples, or an independent printer. Commercial or independent printers are especially useful if you are printing multiple copies. FedEx has a minimum order of 50 postcards.
If you print at home, you will need to use cardstock to print postcards. The size for printing is 4 x 6, 2-sided flat. For Assembly, the postcards were printed on 4/4 12Pt C25. Many printers will have printing suggestions for postcards. Make sure that they are in color and two-sided. - Write in the names and addresses for your congressional representative and/or senators and governor as appropriate for the postcards.
- Sending the postcard to your congressional representative and/or senators: You can look up your representative here, and your senators here. You may address your postcard(s) to either the district office or the Washington, D.C. office.
- Sending the postcard to your governor: You can find contact information for your governor here.
- Consider the following options for delivery:
- Mailing: Place stamps on the cards and mail them. Note: Some cards from Assembly have been sent to the sender instead of the appropriate governor, senator, or representative. This is most likely because of how the USPS scanners are reading the address information. A newer version of the card is now available that moves the sender’s address to the upper left corner. If your cards were printed before June 1, please use options b or c to ensure delivery of your postcards.
- Grouped Mailing: Sort all the cards from your postcard event by recipient and place all the cards going to the same recipient in an envelope to send collectively.
- In-Person Delivery: Plan to deliver directly to the appropriate office. You can deliver these to local offices for representatives and the appropriate state capitols.
- Let us know you took action! After you send or deliver your postcards, record the number you or your group sent and share your information at this link.
- Make sure to sign up for action alerts from United Women in Faith and follow up with a digital action at uwfaith.org/action!
