Catalysts for a New Democracy
Join the Catalysts for a New Democracy program, a collaborative effort between the Chisholm Legacy Project and United Women in Faith. This innovative initiative aims to empower rural communities by mobilizing volunteers who will serve as conduits, bridges, and supporters to advance a just energy transition, self-determination, local self-reliance, and regenerative economies.

Time: 3 pm – 5 pm Eastern (12 pm PT, 1 pm MT, 2 pm CT) All are welcome: new participants as well as previously registered Catalysts.
The Program
During this orientation and training, you’ll learn about the Catalysts for a New Democracy program, including its vision, core organizing principles, and practical skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to build relationships with fellow volunteers and the Chisholm Legacy Project team.
Certification
By committing to the full training, you’ll receive a certification as a Catalyst for a New Democracy volunteer. The first 100 participants will also get a t-shirt. This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to support rural communities in advancing their energy transition, self-determination, and regenerative economies.
As a Catalyst for a New Democracy, you’ll be part of a movement to empower rural communities and support projects like community-owned clean energy microgrids, local food systems, emergency management systems, locally owned water systems, clean transit, and local cottage industries and economic development projects. We look forward to welcoming you on July 15!
